Caregivers who work for us are hired as employees and go through a rigorous hiring process that includes criminal and employment background checks, training, and continuing education. Besides experience and competence, we look for caregivers who are highly compassionate and have loving hearts. At Assisting Hands, we hire only a small number of applicants who apply to work for us.

We understand that each client is unique and, hence, we tailor our home care plans to meet their specific needs and the wishes of their loved ones. Our process starts with a phone intake that helps us learn about our clients, their needs, and the wishes of the family. We then follow with an in-home consultation for a chance to meet the family and their loved one in person. We take the necessary time to go over the needs or concerns of the client and his or her family and discuss home care options. When it’s mutually decided that we are a good fit, we then start the process of finding the best caregiver match for our client.
