Marisol Reyes, Owner
Marisol Reyes is the president and administrator of Assisting Hands West Houston home care office. It exists to enable clients to live safely and happily in their home environment rather than moving to a care facility. Caregivers serve residents in Galleria, Tanglewood, Spring Branch, Westchase, West Houston, Memorial, Katy, and surrounding areas. Assisting Hands West Houston offers non-medical caregivers companionship and personal care for those with physical and developmental disabilities, adults recovering from surgery or hospitalization or those facing terminal illnesses. Caregivers assist seniors who need help with daily activities, while preserving their dignity and independence.
“In June 2010, when my mother was diagnosed with stage four cancer and doctors diagnosed her to have six to eight weeks to live, I was overwhelmed with fear and anxiety,” said Reyes. “I looked for someone I could trust, for quality care from someone who could bring peace and comfort into her home.”
Reyes had no previous caregiving experience, with the majority of her professional career based on 20 years in the real estate industry. But Reyes knew that it was important to her mother to remain in her own home, so she sought out the help of professionals.
“My mother’s in-home caregivers helped her stay independent, which kept her strong and gave her peace of mind,” said Reyes. “I truly believe that this care helped my mother live longer than her diagnosis predicted she would, and knowing that I did not have to carry the burden alone gave me confidence.”
After her mother’s death on May 11, 2012, Reyes immediately made a heartfelt commitment to serve families by helping maintain their loved ones’ dignity, independence and quality of life. After researching franchise opportunities, Reyes chose to open Assisting Hands West Houston.
“Our dedicated staff and compassionate caregivers are ready to go the extra mile for you and your family,” said Reyes. “We are there when you need us because “quality care you can trust” is our priority.”
