Celebrating National Women’s Health Week!

May 14, 2025Devin

National Women’s Health Week, a time dedicated to encouraging women to prioritize their physical and mental health. At Assisting Hands Home Care of Chattanooga, we are proud to support the health and well-being of the incredible women we serve. We are also proud of those who work alongside us every day.

From our dedicated caregivers to the strong women we assist in their homes, we see firsthand the importance of proactive health care. This week, we’re taking a moment to share simple, effective ways women of all ages can stay healthy and empowered. Especially seniors.

5 Ways to Support Women’s Health at Any Age

  1. Stay Active Daily
Whether it’s a walk in the neighborhood, gentle stretching, or chair yoga, staying active helps improve mobility, mood, and overall health. Movement matters!

  2. Eat Mindfully
Fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins go a long way in boosting energy and supporting healthy aging. We love incorporating seasonal produce in meals for our clients.

  3. Keep Up With Checkups
Preventive screenings and regular doctor visits are essential. We can help coordinate appointments and provide transportation to make it easier to stay on top of health needs.

  4. Prioritize Mental Health
Loneliness and anxiety can affect women of all ages, especially older adults. Our caregivers offer companionship, meaningful conversation, and activities to lift spirits every day.

  5. Practice Self-Care
Whether it’s enjoying a favorite hobby, getting your hair done, or simply taking time to relax, self-care is vital for both clients and caregivers. Let’s remember to care for ourselves as we care for others.

A Special Thank You to the Women of Assisting Hands

To our caregivers: your compassion, resilience, and hard work inspire us daily. Your dedication makes a meaningful difference in our clients’ lives. We are so grateful for everything you do.

To our female clients: thank you for sharing your stories, your strength, and your trust with us. You are the heart of what we do.

Let’s celebrate Women’s Health Week together—by caring, connecting, and committing to health and happiness.

If you or a loved one could use support at home, we’re here to help. Reach out to us anytime.
