In the wake of Hurricane Milton, communities across Sarasota and the Gulf Coast, FL have been left with widespread devastation. Assisting Hands Home Care Sarasota and Gulf Coast are proud to support Florida’s recovery efforts through the Hope Florida initiative, which connects impacted individuals with crucial resources such as supplies, shelter, debris removal, and meals.
Recently, First Lady Casey DeSantis, alongside Florida Department of Children and Families Secretary Shevaun Harris and Department of Elder Affairs Secretary Michelle Branham, visited Tri-Par Estates, a non-profit 55+ mobile park in Sarasota, heavily impacted by Hurricane Milton. With approximately 80% of its 872 mobile homes damaged and 40% rendered unlivable, Tri-Par Estates seeks support to help residents recover.
Meals donated by Feeding Florida, a state network of food banks, were distributed to the residents in partnership with the Florida Division of Emergency Management (FDEM). Assisting Hands Sarasota and Gulf Coast are working closely with Tri-Par Estates to collect donations of essential items and monetary donations to help those in need.
