- How is Assisting Hands Pasco different from other Home Care agencies?
At Assisting Hands we take personal interest in each and every client to provide the individualized care they deserve. Our administrative staff can be reached by phone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to schedule care, meet with clients and their family, or in the case of an emergency. - What are your rates for service?
Our rates for service depend on the level of care we are required to provide to take proper care of you or a loved one. Please call us and we will be happy to discuss the rates for service. - When can you start care?
In most instances we can start care within 24 hours of your request for service. In many cases we can begin care even sooner if necessary. At Assisting Hands Pasco we understand that the need for care can come up quickly and we will attempt to respond to a client or loved ones’ needs immediately. - How do I pay for service?
Private Pay: Either check or all major credit cards
Insurance: We accept most long term care insurance policies. - How does billing work?
Every week we send out an invoice to you, your loved one or your insurance company. - Do I have to pay the caregiver directly?
No, you never pay a caregiver for services directly. Assisting Hands Pasco handles all caregiver pay. It is never your responsibility to pay the caregiver. - Will you bill my insurance company directly?
Yes, Assisting Hands Pasco accepts “Assignment of Insurance Benefits”. This means we will bill your insurance company and have them pay us directly. This means our patients and/or loved ones have less out of pocket expenses. - Am I signing a contract for services?
No, you are going to sign an agreement, which states that you only pay for services that you incurred. Assisting Hands Pasco never will bill a client for services they have not received. At no point will any Assisting Hands client be forced to use services. - Can we meet the caregiver before we start services?
Of course! If there is enough time, Assisting Hands Pasco would encourage you to have a “Meet and Greet” with several caregivers so you can choose the person that best suits your needs. - Why should I use a State Licensed Home Health Agency instead of a Homemaker/Companion only company?
As clients care needs grows, so will the need for direct hands on care. Assisting Hands Pasco provides both direct hands on care and supportive services, designed to meet a patients care needs whether they are minimal to complicated. - Why shouldn’t I hire my own aide directly?
Hiring a caregiver on your own can be a very scary endeavor and may cause unnecessary financial and personal risks for the patient and family. Do they really have the proper experience? How do you do a background check? What if they cannot make it to work? When you work with Assisting Hands Home Care, you know that all our caregivers have been through a Federal and State background check, have a minimum of two years’ experience and have been extensively interviewed. Assisting Hands Pasco always has an “on-call” list of caregivers available in the event of an emergency. Our commitment is to never have a client go without service.
