If you think that Schaumburg Illinois is just a place for shopping and business – think again. I am here to prove it that this Northwestern suburb of Chicago has a lot to offer when it comes to having a great time after the business day is over.
So, let start with my favorite – Improv Comedy club inside Woodfield Mall. Why do I like it so much? Because I love (just like everyone else) to laugh. The performers are always great, so your good time is guaranteed. In addition, I think it’s imperative to hit the town in a good mood.
Had a drink or two at the Improv but not yet ready for dinner yet? Hit The Cigar Lounge of you are into smoking. The variety is huge, and the crowd is always great. Some people call it a great man cave for a cigar and after hours meeting and I can see why – big screen TVs, recliners, private rooms, this place has it all.
After an hour in there head on to a nice place for a big dinner. My recommendation would be Finn McCool’s Irish Sports Club. Even the name is cool, don’t you think. However, I am the first to admit that this place is not for everyone.
Here you’ll get what you expect from a traditional Irish bar – good food and cold beer. The food is the typical fare – burgers, wings, sandwiches. They also have daily specials, that are reasonably priced.
If that’s not your type of place you can visit M T Barrels – a bar with live music. The food is not the main attraction there (for a good and inexpensive places to eat check this article out). However, it is great to get your body moving. And if the band that plays that night is good – your entertainment is guaranteed.
As you can see, Schaumburg has something to offer when it comes to nightlife. However, if you want to truly enjoy yourself on a Friday night head out to Naperville.
