Assisting Hands University, Dual-Purpose Training

Home Care Franchise TrainingNAMPA, ID  — The national office of Assisting Hands Home Care today announced the launch of Assisting Hands University, a two-platform training program that 1.) focuses on the operation of the business and 2.) supplements the healthcare provider onboarding process.

AHU combines face-to-face classroom training and online videos.  For example, before new hires attend classroom training, they are encouraged to watch a video preview so time in the classroom will be more effective.

The Healthcare Provider Training platform is divided into 31 modules with a 100-question final exam at the end of it.  The modules are video recordings of an actual trainer presenting the material. Modules are 4-10 minutes in length, and each module is a separate topic.

AHU’s Business Coaching platform contains over 20 modules of information pertinent to establishing operations and conducting day-to-day tasks in a typical Assisting Hands office. Current titles include “Assisting Hands Elevator Pitch,” “Potential Client Phone Call,” “Initial Assessment of a Client,” and “Initial Assessment of a Family Member.”

AHU also includes videos of key presentations delivered by speakers at Assisting Hands Home Care’s annual franchise owner retreat. Topics include “Sell Without Selling,” “Improving Satisfaction,” “Uncovering Substantial Tax Savings,” and “Risk Management Update.”

Assisting Hands will continually build upon the training program, including interviews of franchise owners who are experts in certain subjects.  Topics for these four-eight minute “candid conversations” include “On-boarding,” “Getting Referrals,” “Taking the Business to the Next Level,” and “Creating a Company Culture.”

“I expect a very positive outcome and, with our users’ feedback, I’m sure we will make it even better and continue to provide a unique service that other larger franchises are not currently providing,” said Gail Stout, director of training for Assisting Hands Home Care.  “We want our franchisees to become successful as soon as possible. And we want them to know that we are there for them.”

Stout believes AHU differentiates itself by utilizing the information the company has captured from experiences of franchise owners. “We made a great effort to include training that will make a difference for our owners and that will help them come to speed faster, be more effective, be more competitive and guarantee their success,” Stout said.

AHU is free to franchise owners.
