Concert Helps Feed Hungry Families

NAMPA, Idaho (July 22, 2015) — Thousands of Idaho residents will benefit from a recent Christian concert that requested canned food donations instead of admission prices from more than 10 thousand attendees.

Assisting Hands Home Care partnered with Taco Bell and a team of other corporate sponsors to organize an event held Monday, July 21, at the Ford Idaho Center Ampitheater. The evening lineup featured internationally-known singer and actress Marie Osmond and the Nashville Tribute Band, playing songs from the Tennessee-based, six-piece group’s gospel album “Redeemer: A Nashville Tribute to Jesus Christ.”

“We were thrilled to see so many fans pouring in, enjoying amazing music and donating enough nonperishable food to meet the needs of 18-Boise Valley food banks,” said Assisting Hands CEO lane Kofoed. “To witness the community come together in a spirit of harmony was truly inspirational and echoes the attitude of servanthood at the center of our company’s purpose.”

Along with raising food donations for the needy, the concert united a talented mix of interfaith teenagers, giving them the opportunity to sing on-stage with Osmond and the Nashville gospel group.

Assisting Hands Home Care’s corporate headquarters is located in Nampa, Idaho, and Kofoed said this event was one part of a company-wide effort to make a positive impact across the United States and Canada.

“Assisting Hands is a family of more than 90 caring franchise owners,” said Lane. “Each of us believes being part of a community means giving back, not only through donations, but by personally working to meet needs.”
