In-Home Care Offices Opens in North Houston, Has Successful First Quarter

SPRING, Texas (December 29, 2014) — In-home care provider Assisting Hands Home Care opened a Spring, Texas location in October. Glenn Brass, a longtime resident of the North Houston area, has had a successful first quarter serving residents in Harris and Montgomery counties. Assisting Hands Home Care of North Houston is located at 3845 Cypress Creek Parkway, Suite 317, Houston, TX 77068, near the intersection of Falling Creek Drive, behind Walgreens.

This in-home care office offers non-medical companionship and personalized care services to those with physical and developmental disabilities, adults recovering from surgery or hospitalization and seniors who need assistance with their daily activities, allowing them to remain living in their own homes with dignity and independence.

“Currently my 83-year-old mother receives home care service, and it has been an outstanding help to her,” said Brass. “Seeing how happy she is with her caregiver and with being able to live in her own home, it was then I knew this was the type of business I wanted to be in.”

Brass serves as the Assisting Hands Home Care of North Houston president and administrator, and plans to draw from experience gained in his previous career within the United States Air Force. While serving, Brass spent many years working in several areas of the health care arena. Brass performed duties in the operating room, in health care administration, serving as a medical regional manager and medical spine representative. Wil Turner, the office’s Director of Operations, has more than five years experience in social work, which enables him to skillfully manage caregivers and ensure clients’ needs are met. The wellbeing of those clients is of upmost importance to Brass. He takes his mission statement for the Assisting Hands Home Care of North Houston from Scripture.

“My business is being managed with a Christian mind set,” said Brass. “Philippians 2:3-4 ‘Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.'”
