Assisting Hands® Home Care Caregiver, Lilly Gyamfi, Wins Multiple National Caregiver Awards and Recognition

August 30, 2022 (Nampa, ID) – Assisting Hands is pleased to announce that caregiver, Lilly Gyamfi, of Potomac, Maryland was awarded their national award, “Above the Best” Caregiver Award which is provided by the company’s national office each year to a caregiver recipient that has demonstrated extraordinary care to Assisting Hands’ clients.

Lilly was one of fifty caregivers nominated and was selected as the winner by the national team at Assisting Hands. This award recognizes the top caregivers nationwide who are employed by Assisting Hands, and who provide care and services at the clients’ homes, such as assistance with bathing, dressing, and medication reminders, to seniors and people with disabilities.

In addition to this award, Gyamfi has also been selected as a finalist for the prestigious Home Care Association of America (HCAOA) 2022 Caregiver of the Year Award. Gyamfi is among the top 13 national home caregivers, selected from hundreds of nominations across the country.

“We are honored to have such a kind, caring, and considerate caregiver working with us. She inspires us all to be the best that we can be,” said owner of Assisting Hands® Potomac, Steve Lorberbaum.

“Caregiving can be a thankless job which requires deep compassion, patience, and true dedication on the part of the caregiver,” Deanna Keppel, Assisting Hands Vice President said. “The pandemic has created even more challenges for caregivers and called for even more dedication on their part than ever before.” Keppel went on to explain that the commitment of their caregivers demonstrates just how much they feel called to care for others. “This is why the caregivers that were nominated for our annual award, and especially the winner, went above and beyond their normal duties and performed in ways that exemplify the best of the best in caregiving.”

As the recipient of the Above the Best Award, Gyamfi received a trophy and a monetary gift. A special award presentation took place recently at the Potomac office where she is employed.
