Independent Survey Shows Female Franchise Owners Are Highly Satisfied with Assisting Hands Home Care Performance
Nampa, ID, July 17, 2019 – Assisting Hands was recently named a top franchise by Franchise Business Review in its 2019 Top Franchises for Women Report.

Assisting Hands is revered by its franchisees as being a supportive and innovative franchise. Their long-standing commitment to quality home care and extensive franchise operations and marketing support has paved the way for the growth of their franchised locations across the US with 65-plus franchisees covering over 130 territories in 23 states. Franchise Business Review has named Assisting Hands a top franchise brand since 2014.
Assisting Hands was among more than 265 franchise brands, representing nearly 8,800 female franchise owners, that participated in Franchise Business Review’s research on the Top Franchises for Women. Assisting Hands franchisees were surveyed on 33 benchmark questions about their experience and satisfaction regarding critical areas of their franchise systems, including leadership, training & support, financial opportunity, and work/life balance.
“The franchise industry provides many options to women seeking business ownership on a full- or part-time basis in multiple sectors,” says Michelle Rowan, President and COO of Franchise Business Review. “The number of franchise opportunities can be overwhelming, so it’s critical to examine feedback from other female franchise owners on how well the franchise meets their expectations in terms of support, work/life balance, financial opportunity, and other key areas of business ownership. When you look at the brands on our list, a whopping 90% of women said they enjoyed owning and operating their own business.”
“Assisting Hands provides ongoing support to all of our franchisees which are made up of a large percentage of women,” said Gail O. Stout, Vice President of Assisting Hands. “Our company was founded by a woman with a vision for providing the much-needed service of home care to communities throughout the United States.” Gail went on to explain that founder, Dr. Gail Silverstein, has more than 25 years of experience coordinating and leading health care programs in both the public and private sector. Together, Gail Silverstein and Cline Waddell launched Assisting Hands to provide a better alternative for the elderly, disabled and others needing daily care so that they can remain in their homes.
