Assisting Hands West Austin is locally owned and operated by an Austin family with deep roots in the community. We are proud to serve older adults and families throughout the Austin area with the same care, compassion, and neighborly spirit that make Central Texas such a special place to call home.
Our owner is a native Austinite and Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) with more than 15 years of experience working with older adults, individuals with disabilities, and families facing life’s challenges and transitions. This foundation in social work continues to shape how we approach care today—with a focus on dignity, independence, respect, and meaningful relationships.
Many members of our leadership team have backgrounds in social work, giving us a unique understanding of the emotional, family, and practical aspects of caregiving. We recognize that quality home care is about more than helping with daily tasks; it’s about supporting the whole person and providing peace of mind for families.
We are also proud to serve as a learning site for Social Work interns in the Austin area. Investing in future professionals allows us to share our passion for serving older adults while helping strengthen the next generation of compassionate caregivers and advocates.

How to Pay for Care
We strive to make quality home care accessible through a variety of funding sources and community partnerships.
Assisting Hands West Austin specializes in helping families navigate Long-Term Care Insurance benefits and is proud to be a Veterans Affairs (VA) approved provider for eligible home care services. We are also a provider for the Medicare GUIDE Program, offering respite and support services for qualifying family caregivers.
As a community-focused agency, we partner with local organizations, including the Area Agency on Aging (AAACAP), to help connect older adults and caregivers with resources that support aging safely and successfully at home.
We also proudly serve private pay clients, offering flexible care options tailored to each family’s unique needs and preferences.
