I am on a mission to lead with love—placing the person at the center of the present moment. I believe in attending fully to our clients and staff, with generosity, attention, and care. Leading with love means leaning into our learning and growth, holding ourselves to high expectations, communicating with clarity and compassion, and putting our heart into each moment.
With backgrounds as a French teacher, family business owner, and school administrator, I bring my experience in connection and leadership to this agency. I am committed to creating a client and caregiver experience grounded in trust, respect, and compassion.
My family’s caregiving journey—caring for my grandparents in Illinois and Greece—deeply shaped my desire to serve our community. Growing up helping them navigate health challenges, I learned firsthand the importance of loving, attentive care, especially during life’s most vulnerable moments. There is no greater gift than having a loving hand to care for you.

As an agency owner, my goal is to provide compassionate homecare that treats your family as our own, especially during life’s greatest moments of need.
A daily reminder of this purpose comes from a gift I cherish—a coffee mug with the words of St. Maria Skobtsova of Paris: “Love one another—however hard I try, I find it impossible to construct anything greater than these three words: ‘Love one another,’ only, to the end, and without exceptions.”
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family- my husband, Ryan, our two children, Gia & John, and our giant yellow labrador retriever, Misha. I enjoy reading, travelling, and being in nature as much as possible.

As Care Coordinator at Assisting Hands, I am committed to creating thoughtful matches between our clients and caregivers—pairings that honor each person’s unique needs with dignity and compassion. I believe that true care begins with listening, understanding, and building trust, and I strive to make every family feel supported and at ease.
I bring a wealth of experience in client service, relationship management, and team leadership to my role as Client Success Manager at Assisting Hands. Throughout my career, I have built my strengths around organization, communication, and creating meaningful connections. I have spent years helping clients and teams achieve success through thoughtful planning, collaboration, and exceptional service.
My name is Leah Botangen, and I bring over three years of experience as a Scheduler and On-Call Support Specialist. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of connecting clients with compassionate caregivers through efficient scheduling, clear communication, and dependable support.
