Independent Living for Seniors: Choosing an In-Home Care Provider
If you have a loved one who wants to continue living at home but needs help with basic daily activities,…
When our caregivers come into the homes of seniors, they are tasked with all the personal care assistance activities required for the job, but also importantly, they are tasked with making friendships. At Assisting Hands, we train our caregivers to be the kind and caring people who are going to get to know the people they see every day. We want the seniors to feel like they have companionship, someone to share their stories with. Our in-home caregivers allow the seniors to tell their stories so that someone can hear about the rich and fulfilling lives they have led. Many seniors have lost all their friends to old age, and this opportunity to share is one they love to have.
At Assisting Hands, we make sure that the caregivers are trained properly but also we assure that the personal characteristics of the caregivers we select for each job are compatible with those of the seniors. Watch this short video below where Ricardo Perez, President with Assisting Hands – Serving Boca Delray, explains the importance of matching the caregivers’ personal characteristics.
