Smilka began her caregiving journey with us back in 2018, inspired by a very personal experience. Watching the caregivers who came to help her own mother, she saw firsthand the difference compassionate care can make and it sparked a desire in her to help others. Since then, she has brought her big heart and unwavering dedication to every client she serves. Her goal has always been simple but powerful: to make her clients happy. She hopes to continue working with them for many more years, helping as many people as possible and making a meaningful difference in their lives.

Reflecting on her 7 years with us, Smilka shares some advice for new caregivers: “Patience is key. Listen to your clients, understand their routines, and respect their way of life. We are entering their homes and adapting to their environments, and building that connection is what makes the difference.”

Outside of work, Smilka cherishes time with her family, especially reading books and spending quality moments with her granddaughter.

We are so grateful for her dedication, compassion, and the countless smiles she has brought to our clients over the years. Here’s to many more years of making a difference!
