Daniellah Salario, the owner of Assisting Hands, is a native of Winnetka, Illinois and currently resides in Arlington Heights, IL. She started her home health care business after caring for her father at a young age and wanted to help others in her community avoid going through this experience alone. The home caregivers who helped her family left a lasting impact on her life, not only for the home care service they provided, but for the support and guidance they gave during a difficult time.
“We only have one father and one mother, so chances are, that when you go through this experience, it’s the first time. It’s normal not to understand what to do or who to trust, but I want my home care agency to be the place where people can go for answers.”
Daniellah is a Certified Senior Advisor and currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Gerontology. Prior to opening Assisting Hands in Arlington Heights, Daniellah taught English as a second language for 12 years to adults around the globe. She has taught in Chile, Korea, and Costa Rica, among other places. Daniellah holds a Master’s degree in adult education and brings her passion for teaching to her business. She trains her caregivers with her dynamic teaching methods to ensure that they will provide excellent home health care. Each and every caregiver must pass a thorough skills assessment prior to accepting a job, as well as a hands-on assessment in-home with your family member.“The people who I serve are my neighbors, friends, friends’ parents, grandparents, etc. I take a personal responsibility in ensuring that each and every caregiver is someone I would send to my own family.”
In her free time, Daniellah loves to dance including salsa, swing, foxtrot, and other ballroom dances. She hopes you’ll join her for a dance when she comes for a visit!
