At Assisting Hands, we are growing and changing alongside the rest of the world, and as we know, taking precautions for Covid-19 is now a part of our day to day routine. We want all of our clients to know that we take the health of our clients and the health of our caregivers very seriously.
With everyone’s safety in mind, our Case Manager, Aurora has designed a new protocol in order to clearly document and communicate with all of our caregivers about safety precautions to ensure that everyone is on the same page and upholding the same standards across the board.
Details of the New Protocol:
Temperature Checks
We will be distributing no-touch thermometers, a Caregiver Home Entry Checklist and Screening log to all of our clients homes. Our caregivers will be recording answers to a brief survey and recording their temperature before every shift. Caregivers will immediately call the office if they have a temperature above 99.6.
New Masks
All Assisting Hand caregivers will be provided with new masks. We want to make sure we are uniform in our approach to minimizing the spread of COVID.
Sanitizer and Antibacterial Soap
The kits will include a bottle of hand sanitizer and antibacterial soap. Caregivers should sanitize their hands before taking and recording their temperature and wash their hands thoroughly before completing their shift.
COVID Training: All Assisting Hand Caregivers have been enrolled in a COVID-19 training through Caregiver Training University. Here they review safety precautions, methods of transmission, and signs & symptoms of COVID-19.
We want to assure you that we are doing the very best we can each and every day to keep your family and our staff SAFE & HEALTHY at home!
