Spring is such a beautiful time to celebrate and come out of our winter cocoon to spend time with those who matter most in our lives. Everyone’s spirit is uplifted and turned toward nature, sunshine, and new beginnings. We thought the perfect Spring Appreciation party would be to invite the team for a healthy lunch and chance to plant their own succulent to take home.

Home care and health care in general is not always predictable. Clients’ needs change and part of providing good care is the ability to roll quickly with those changes. For this, we send a big THANK YOU as we couldn’t do it without our caregivers’ willingness to move quickly and adjust.

We feel it’s important to host these gatherings in the office as our caregivers don’t always have the opportunity to meet their coworkers out in the field. Face-to-face events help develop a sense of camaraderie among colleagues and build relationships with the office staff who are working hard to support them each and every day.  Strong relationships and open communication are key to having a successful home care agency.

So, as your care team is out there working hard for your family, keep in mind that gratitude will help with your caregiving relationship and ultimately result in better care for your loved one. A small kind word of appreciation gives that care worker a little pep in her step as she goes about her duties.
