On August 30th, Assisting Hands West Houston had the honor of participating in the Vet-Trepreneur Vendor Market at VFW Post 9182 in Katy, Texas. This special community event brought together veteran-owned businesses, local vendors, and organizations to celebrate and support those who have served our country.
Our Assisting Hands team created a booth designed as a “Post Office” where attendees could stop by, pick up a card, and write a heartfelt letter to a veteran living in a nursing home. These handwritten messages of appreciation will be delivered to veterans in our community, serving as a reminder that their service and sacrifices are never forgotten.
This initiative reflects our mission to give back to the community and support those who have given so much for our freedom. It was wonderful to see families, fellow vendors, and community members pause during the busy market to take part in this act of kindness.
We are grateful to the VFW Post 9182 for hosting such an incredible event and to all who stopped by our booth to write a letter.
