They prefer to stay, at home, with a little help in the activities of daily living rather than go to an Assisted Living or Nursing Home Facility. Our skilled personal assistants can provide assistance with meal preparation, help with bathing, medication reminders, laundry and light housekeeping – all in the comfort and privacy of their own home making aging in place possible.

Elder Care

We truly value our elderly clients and the importance of providing home and personal elderly care services with dignity and respect. Our caregivers are caring, compassionate people who enjoy helping others and who have that special gift of patience and understanding when dealing with the challenges that sometimes face the elderly. We pride ourselves on our frequent communication with loving family members regarding their loved ones' health status and offer a “We Care” supplemental services program for the family entering hospice in Littleton.

Senior In Home Care

As “baby boomers” began to officially turn the population tide on January 1, 2012, the increased need for senior in home care became a national discussion.

Senior in home care services are a way to make sure seniors are taken care of.

In the past, families were faced with few choices when their senior loved ones needed care.

Fortunately, in the last several decades clinicians and other healthcare professionals have recognized the health and well-being benefit to receiving care while remaining in the comfort of home.

As our country’s population continues to enter their golden years in record numbers, senior in home care is finally being not only recognized, but celebrated as the preferred option for many in lieu of the traditional institutionalized care approach from years past.

Assisting Hands® offers a wide range of in home care services for senior, disabled, and otherwise in need clients.

Some of the specific services offered for the senior in home care client include:

  • Bathing, grooming, meal preparation, and housekeeping
  • Home safety evaluations
  • Recommendation for and placement of assistive devices in the home
  • Fall risk assessments and individualized fall prevention plans
  • Care Coordination with all members of the clients healthcare team
  • Transportation and accompaniment to vital healthcare appointments
  • Specialized care for clients with Alzheimer’s or another form of dementia
  • Compassionate, one-on-one end of life care for clients on Hospice
  • Automated medication reminders
  • Medical alert system
  • Video monitoring services
As a subset of America’s population gets more advanced in age, there are many things to consider. According to one study, the most devastating consequence is the loneliness that accompanies being alone much of the day.
This can lead to depression and anxiety, which can pull the meaningfulness out of activities that were once pleasureable. Although there have been many ways suggested to help with depression, one of the best cures is by finding companionship.
This is something that Assisting Hands Home Care specializes in and can help you with.
A good home care agency provides the quality home care services needed along with compassion.

Assisting Hands prides itself in providing outstanding in home senior care to our growing senior population, working together with the client and his/her loved ones to meet the specific requirements of each unique individual. The senior care process begins with a thorough in home needs assessment and home safety evaluation followed with recommendations on how best to serve each client’s individual needs. Of course, very special care is taken in making sure that there is a good “fit” between client and caregiver. As the situation and requirements of each client changes, we are also ready to change and make adjustments with our frequent re-evaluation system.
