In-Home Care Company Surpasses 80th Franchise Sale Milestone

NAMPA, Idaho (April 8, 2015) — Assisting Hands Home Care (Assisting Hands) today announced two major growth milestones for its in-home care services. In November 2014, the international company sold its 80th franchise territory, located in Sussex County, New Jersey. In February 2015, the 40th Assisting Hands service office opened its doors in Pasco County, Florida, and the company is poised for growth as it starts its second quarter.

Assisting Hands Director of Franchise Development Diane Wright confirmed that 2014 was the best sales year the company has ever seen for new franchises.

“Of the 82 total franchises we have now sold, 24 of those were sold during the 2014 calendar year,” said Wright. “Expansion like this is one of the best indicators of a company’s success.”

Assisting Hands President and CEO Lane Kofoed said the company has been working with franchise brokers to generate sales leads from the increasing number of individuals across the United States and in Canada hoping to open their own businesses. In addition, existing franchisees are building relationships with clients and their families, seeing success and are buying additional territories to expand their businesses.

“People are starting to feel better about the economy,” said Kofoed. “They also see a growing trend within the senior care industry as more and more baby boomers are looking for a way to safely stay at home, rather than moving into a facility.”

Assisting Hands offers quality and compassionate in-home care for the elderly, the disabled or those recovering from a medical procedure. Services include bathing, grooming, meal preparation, errands and medical appointment transportation, light housekeeping and much more. About Assisting Hands Home Care
Assisting Hands Home Care began in 2005 and is based upon Dr. Gail Silverstein’s behind-the-scenes knowledge of the healthcare industry coupled with her personal experience in helping her aging father at home. Dr. Silverstein created Assisting Hands and began franchising in 2006. Assisting Hands offers a comprehensive menu of services that includes non-medical companionship and personal care services, skilled nursing, and total care management, which fill the gap between living at home with dignity, and the need for institutionalized medical care. Single and multi-unit franchises are available, and franchisees may manage more than one franchise territory out of a single service office.
