We are locally owned and operated and serve Sumter, Lake, and Marion counties. The caregiver who comes to your door is our employee, covered by our insurance, supervised by our office, and backed up by our team when life happens.
How We Screen Every Caregiver
Florida holds home care agencies to a higher screening standard than most states, and screening is complete before a caregiver is ever assigned to a client.
- Level 2 background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse: This is fingerprint-based and runs through both state and federal criminal databases under the oversight of the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA). It is not a basic county records search or an online instant check. Screening must remain active for the caregiver to stay employed with us.
- Minimum one year of healthcare experience: We do not hire caregivers with no care background and train them on your loved one. Every caregiver we place has already worked in the field.
- Credential verification: CNA licenses and HHA certifications are verified against Florida state records before assignment.
- In-person interview with our office team: Screening tells us who is eligible. The interview tells us who is right for this work.
Caregivers are then bonded and covered under our agency liability and workers’ compensation policies.
Training and Certifications
Training is paid and ongoing, not a one-time orientation video. Our caregivers receive continuing training in:
- Dementia care techniques, including redirection and managing agitation
- Alzheimer’s communication
- Safe transfers, repositioning, and mobility assistance
- Infection control
- Observing and reporting changes in a client’s condition
Many of our caregivers are Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) or certified Home Health Aides (HHAs). When your care plan calls for a specific credential, we assign a caregiver who holds it.
