Paying for in-home care is an important part of planning for a loved one’s changing needs. Fortunately, families have several options for covering the cost of home care, depending on their circumstances and available benefits.
At Assisting Hands Home Care Fort Myers, we help families understand their options and find an approach that works for their care needs and budget. Home care rates vary based on the type and amount of care needed, so we can discuss your situation and provide a personalized estimate.
A Note on Medicare and Medicaid
Assisting Hands Home Care Fort Myers does not accept Medicare or Medicaid for in-home care. Medicare covers short-term skilled care ordered by a physician, not ongoing help with bathing, dressing, meals, or companionship.
If Medicaid is the only way you are able to pay for care, the Area Agency on Aging for Southwest Florida can help you explore state programs that may be available. Their Elder Helpline is 866-413-5337, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
