We are a VA approved provider in Lee & Charlotte Counties!
Assisting Hands is a proud partner with theDepartment of Veterans Affairs as a provider in the Homemaker and Home Health Aide Program.
The VA provides supportive services to help chronically ill or disabled Veterans of any age remain in their own home. This is accomplished by providing in-home care and is an extended care services prescribed by and under the direction of your VA physician.
Veterans are generally eligible for professional home care from a VA
approved agency no matter where they call home. This program is for Veterans who need personal care services and help with activities of daily living. VACCN is also for Veterans who are isolated or their main caregiver is experiencing burden.
A Home Health Aide will come to a Veteran’s home and helps the Veteran take care of themselves and their daily activities. Our Home Health Aides are regularly supervised by a registered nurse who asses the Veterans daily living needs. After care is provided, we bill the VA.
