When you invite a caregiver into your home, you are trusting them with the person you love most. At Assisting Hands Home Care of Fort Worth West, every caregiver is screened, trained, insured, and personally matched to your family with that responsibility in mind. We serve seniors and adults across Fort Worth, Aledo, Benbrook, and Weatherford, and we can typically place qualified help in your home within 48 hours of your first call.
How We Screen and Hire Our Caregivers
Caregiving in someone’s home is a position of deep trust, so every caregiver is carefully screened before they meet a client. Our requirements include:
- State and national background checks
- A verified, consistent work history and proof of employment eligibility
- A safe driving record and a reliable vehicle
- A current tuberculosis (TB) test
- CPR certification
Every caregiver is a W-2 employee of Assisting Hands, never an independent contractor. That means they are covered by our liability insurance and workers’ compensation, and your family is never exposed to the tax and legal risk that comes with privately hiring an aide.
Caregiver Training and Certifications
Our caregivers are trained specifically for in-home senior care, not general staffing. Every caregiver is:
- Certified in CPR and First Aid
- Trained in safe transfers, fall prevention, and personal care
- Given ongoing education and training throughout their employment
For families managing memory loss, we assign caregivers with specialized Alzheimer’s and dementia training so your loved one gets care suited to their condition.
How We Match a Caregiver to Your Family
No two clients are alike, so we never assign caregivers at random. After a free in-home consultation, our care coordinator weighs your loved one’s needs, personality, daily routine, and preferences, then selects the caregiver who fits best. If the match is not right, we will change it. You are never locked into one caregiver.
