Our caregivers are trained specifically to provide in-home care, and have successfully passed extensive background checks.

Assisting Hands Home Care is the only home care agency in Mercer and Monmouth Counties to be recognized with both awards and one of two in Ocean County.
This is the fourth year in a row that the agency has been named a Provider of Choice.
Each national-award winning Assisting Hands caregiver is under the supervision of Mimi Barroso, RN, BSN, CDP, director of nursing. They are licensed as Certified Home Health Aides by the New Jersey Board of Nursing after completing after 76 hours of training that is a combination of classroom and clinical training. The Board of Nursing also conducts criminal background checks and the license must be renewed every two years.
The Board of Nursing and Assisting Hands also require caregivers to continue their education with 13 hours of training annually.
Caregivers are all bonded and insured when working through Assisting Hands.
