Senior Home Care in Satellite Beach, FL

Assisting Hands Home Care – Brevard County provides senior home care in Satellite Beach, FL for older adults who would rather stay in the home they already know than move into a facility (See All Served Areas). Care is arranged around the person, not a package, and it starts with an in-home visit where we sit down with your family, look at what your loved one can still manage on their own, and identify where a caregiver would make the biggest difference.

For professional senior home care in Satellite Beach, FL, call Assisting Hands Home Care at (321) 455-5778. Request a Free In-Home Consultation.

Senior Care Services in Satellite Beach, FL

To arrange in-home senior care anywhere in Satellite Beach, call Assisting Hands Home Care at (321) 455-5778 and ask about a no-cost consultation in your loved one’s home.

The first step is always the assessment. A member of our staff comes out to the house to talk through daily routines, medications, mobility, meals, and what a typical week looks like. From there we put together a written care plan and a caregiver schedule that fits. Needs rarely stay static, so the plan gets revisited whenever something changes, whether that’s a hospital stay, a new diagnosis, or a family caregiver going back to work.

Our caregivers handle both personal care and the household tasks that get harder to keep up with:

  • Morning and evening routines: Getting up, getting dressed, and getting settled for the night are often the two points in the day where help matters most. Our caregivers are there for both.
  • Bathing, showering, and grooming: Assistance is scaled to the person, from standing by for safety to hands-on help with washing, hair, shaving, and oral care.
  • Dressing and appearance: Choosing clothes for the day, managing buttons and zippers, and looking put together before company or an appointment.
  • Toileting and incontinence: Discreet help with restroom trips, along with cleanup and changes of clothing or bedding after an accident.
  • Moving safely around the house: Support with walkers, transfers in and out of bed, recliners, and wheelchairs, and a steady arm on stairs or in the bathroom.
  • Cooking and eating: Meals prepared to match dietary restrictions and personal taste, served with the company of another person at the table, and cleaned up afterward.
  • Driving and errands: Rides to doctor’s offices in Melbourne or Viera, the pharmacy, church, or a grandchild’s ballgame, plus grocery runs and other errands when your loved one is no longer comfortable behind the wheel.
  • Light housekeeping and laundry: Dishes, vacuuming, dusting, bed linens, trash, and laundry, so the house stays livable between family visits.
  • Companionship: Conversation, card games, walks, and time spent on the hobbies your loved one already enjoys. Social contact tends to shrink with age, and isolation is closely linked to depression among seniors.

Why Families in Satellite Beach Choose Care at Home

Aging brings a series of hard concessions. Driving usually goes first, then cooking, then the confidence to be alone in the house for a full afternoon. The house itself is the one thing most seniors will not willingly give up, and there is good reason for that. Familiar rooms, a familiar neighborhood, and a familiar routine give older adults a level of independence and control that a facility cannot replicate.

Satellite Beach makes that easier than most places. Much of the housing here is single-story, streets are quiet and walkable, and the area draws a large retirement population, including many veterans with ties to Patrick Space Force Base. What families often need is not a move but a set of hands to help out a few hours a day. Our home care services fill that gap so your loved one can age in place safely, whether they live near the river, off South Patrick Drive, or a few blocks from A1A.

Trusted Caregivers

Every senior caregiver at Assisting Hands Home Care undergoes a thorough background check and completes additional training after joining our team. Our caregivers are licensed, bonded, and insured, with First Aid and CPR certification. Just as important, we take the caregiver match seriously. We look at your loved one’s needs, preferences, personality, and situation to find someone who is genuinely well suited to the role. When a caregiver is in the home regularly, that relationship becomes an important part of daily life, so the right fit matters.

Our office remains in close contact with families throughout care. If the schedule needs to change, a caregiver is unavailable, or you notice something concerning during a visit, you have a local team you can call. You are not left trying to navigate a national call center when you need an answer or a change in care.

Senior Home Care FAQs

Senior home care is non-medical support that helps older adults manage daily life at home including activities of daily living (ADLs) like bathing and dressing, plus meal preparation, light housekeeping, medication reminders, and transportation. It's built for seniors who want to stay independent in their Satellite Beach home.

No. Home health care involves medical services like nursing or physical therapy ordered by a doctor. Senior home care, what we provide, is non-medical support with daily living and household tasks. Some families use both together.

Our caregivers can help with bathing, grooming, dressing, mobility, toileting, and eating, along with instrumental tasks like meal prep, laundry, light housekeeping, and medication reminders.

After your free in-home consultation, we consider your loved one's care needs, personality, and schedule to match them with a caregiver we believe will be a good fit, then introduce them before care begins.

Yes. We regularly set up care for seniors discharged from Holmes Regional Medical Center and other Brevard County hospitals, often within 24 to 48 hours, to reduce fall risk and support recovery at home.

Yes, roughly 38% of Satellite Beach residents are over 55, one of the higher shares in Brevard County, and many choose to age in place in their coastal homes rather than relocate. It's one of our most-requested services in the area, with plans built for both short-term recovery and long-term support.

I can't say enough about Assisting Hands of Brevard. The office staff is so kind, efficient, professional and accommodating. The caretakers who were provided were so very kind, friendly, knowledgeable, and so caring toward my husband who has Alzheimer's. His condition was re-evaluated requiring a change in approach to his care. However, should his condition take another turn and require home care, we would call on Assisting Hands in a nano-second!

My parents needed care as my mom's Alzheimer's began to progress. From the beginning the staff has been awesome! The first person my parents and I met with was Anna their Care Manager. She was patient, sincere and spent over two hours with us explaining the services and supports Assisting Hands provides. Even before services began Tyler, the owner, reached out to explain a billing question. When the care takers began they were wonderful! So gentle and patient with my mom. DLinda you are the best! We trust and appreciate Assisting Hands so much, that after my parent's failed attempt at an assisted living facility, we called Assisting Hands and are using them again. We are so lucky to get one of the original ladies back. The staff is like family. I honestly don't know where I would be with my parent's care without them. Thank you Tyler, Anna, DLinda and Pat.

I can’t say enough great things about Assisting Hands! When my mom was diagnosed with cancer we needed helping caring for my dad who had dementia. The staff at Assisting Hands were amazing (from the owner, nurse manager to the care givers) and didn’t just care for my dad, they cared about him! They also supported my brother and I during this most difficult season. Would definitely recommend this agency.
