On May 19, 2026, Richard Ueberfluss of Assisting Hands Home Care had the opportunity to provide a continuing education presentation on Parkinson’s disease at Southlake Methodist Hospital in Merrillville, Indiana.
The noon CEU program brought together members of the hospital’s Social Services and Case Management team for an educational discussion focused on Parkinson’s disease and the challenges individuals and families may experience as the condition progresses.
Supporting the Professionals Who Help Families Navigate Care
Social workers and case managers play an important role in helping patients and families understand their options as they transition from the hospital to the next stage of care.
