Every month, we introduce you to one of our marvelous caregivers in our Caregiver of the Month blog. Our Caregiver of the Month is someone who has been stepping up to challenges that month and shining bright. The truth is, all of the caregivers on our team shine bright every day! We know caregiving is rewarding, but we also know it can be challenging. We would like to give a hearty thank you to all of our caregivers out in the field serving our Assisting Hands Family each and every day.
Celebrating Our Caregivers
As our way of saying thank you, we held a Caregiver Appreciation Painting Party at Bottle and Bottega in Arlington Heights this month…and it was truly a blast! It was a crisp sunny fall afternoon when the party began, and Bottle and Bottega couldn’t have had a cozier party space. We had access to a little back patio, and plenty of space for the many delicious dishes and desserts that our caregivers brought to share for our potluck, in true generous and prepared Caregiver fashion! At the end of the night, we certainly had food to take home.
Some of our caregivers know each other from mutual clients, meetings at the office, and training days. However, some of our caregivers haven’t met as they are usually with their clients! It was wonderful to see the party grow and to have such a lively group by the end of the evening. We were all there to simply enjoy the evening and celebrate all of our hard work.
The main event of course was painting. Our fabulous leader, Daniellah, had picked out a tranquil autumn nature scene for us to paint, and it was certainly a joy to get creative and get a little paint on our hands! We were all lead through the same steps and painting the same scene, but through our own styles and creative liberties, we were amazed at how unique all of our paintings turned out. Much like our caregiving skills, we all have our own special ways to create something beautiful.
Our party was a success, and we hope all of our phenomenal caregivers had as much fun as we did. We hope the lovely paintings we all took home, of two peaceful boats keeping each other company on a beautiful autumn day, can always remind us of how much we appreciate the helping hands our caregivers give to our clients…and to us!
