Veterans Day Luncheon
To honor our local veterans for Veterans Day (Nov. 11, 2022) at the Placentia Veterans Village, in the spirit of Thanksgiving, our Assisting Hands® team served stir fry turkey, chow mein, fried rice, and homemade tamales at the Veterans Day Luncheon!

Our Care Coordinator put her ninja cooking skills on display with the stir fry turkey, chow mein, and fried rice, which were all gone within minutes as some vets came for seconds!
Of course this luncheon also included fresh fruit and chocolate chip cookies as dessert!
The Tamale Man
The tamales were donated by our all-star Marketing Director, Eric Yee and his wife, Evelyn Yee.

Handmade by The Tamale Man himself, Enrique Munoz, from Enrique’s Mexican Cuisine in
Monrovia, Enrique is a former Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy with over 20 years of civil service and has taken his culinary skills to the next level with his small business which we were happy to support.
It was indeed a blessed Veterans Day Luncheon for our team to serve the vets and provide a good and warm home cooked meal to them.
We wanted to not only extend our philanthropic efforts and serve the community, but also extend our home care services to vets who may qualify for home care through their VA Benefits.
Please help spread the word to help our vets!

As the only VA Approved home care agency right in the beloved City of Placentia, we at Assisting Hands® take seriously the care of our veterans in our local communities.
We look forward to giving back even more in the future and strengthening not only our small business, but also the vets in the local communities that call Placentia or North OC home.

Specifically, we want to thank the staff at the Placentia Veterans Village for making this event successful – shout out to Cynthia, Nicole, and Shadricka for your help and support! We are so grateful for the opportunity!
To all the veterans, thank you for your service! Happy Veterans Day!
