Join us for our next Jewish Family & Children Service Memory Café on Friday, July 12th, from 10:00 a.m. to noon as we discover the art of sand sculpting! We’ll be diving into its history, getting our hands sandy to try out our own creations, and learning about this summer’s sand sculpting events. You are welcome to bring seashells or sculpting tools if you have some on hand, but no purchases are necessary.

RSVP: Call Jessica at 781-693-1257 or email [email protected] by July 8

Check out the full invitation here.

Please note that the JF&CS Memory Café will meet monthly in-person in Waltham except for virtual meetings in the winter months.

Recorded JF&CS Memory Café

Visit the JF&CS Memory Café YouTube playlist to see facilitated activities from some of our previous virtual JF&CS Memory Café gatherings. We record the facilitated portion of some virtual JF&CS Memory Café gatherings so that our guests and others can enjoy them later. At our May 6 café gathering, we recorded an inspiring 12-minute talk by advocate Laurie Scherrer about living well with dementia. See this video and the whole virtual JF&CS Memory Café video playlist here, and feel free to share it.

Want to Join Another Memory Cafe?

Many Massachusetts memory cafés now offer virtual programs, some are meeting outdoors, and some are gearing up to resume indoor meetings. You can find our directory here: www.jfcsboston.org/MemoryCafeDirectory (Look for the blue sidebar listing virtual cafés, on the right side of the page), it’s continuously updated. There is also a national virtual café directory here: www.memorycafedirectory.com/cafe-connect/.

Here is a one-minute video in EnglishPortuguese, and Spanish that shows memory cafés in action, including virtual and in-person cafés. Please share this with anyone who would like to know what a memory café is all about!
