Veteran Information Forum in Collin County

September 9, 2023Wolfgang Willems

Assisting Hands Home Care always strives to not only provide exceptional home care for our veterans, but also to be a resource for our clients. When our veteran clients need information about home care, veteran benefits or other assistance or services, we are happy to be a resource. Our network and continuous education helps us to do this. Today we had another such opportunity.

We thank Congressman Keith Self for hosting today’s Veteran Information Forum at Collin College – Wylie Campus. We have heard many interesting lectures here and could participate in discussions. There was a consensus that, unfortunately, many veterans are not sufficiently informed about what readings they are entitled to. One of the longest lectures comes from the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs (VA). The state of Texas has a lot to offer veterans and that is why many veterans move to our region. Therefore, the VA is a roadmap to continue to rapidly expand its capacity. At Assisting Hands Home Care, we are part of a network that supports the VA. Today we have learned a lot again and are even better able to assist our veterans with advice and support. So if one of our veteran customers has a problem that we can’t solve, we always know the contacts who can help.
