Our automated phone and GPS systems ensure on-time arrivals and end-of-shift departures. If a caregiver does not arrive on time, our office is automatically informed by the software, and we can immediately follow up the matter. Also, all documentation and actions during the shift are transparent for you and us. Our secure, easy-to-use client and family portals allow you and your family to manage see your schedule and review care notes from any device at any time. Of course, you are welcome to call us at any time. But this gives you another way to keep track of our services for you.
We want you to be completely satisfied with the level of care you receive from your first visit to your last. We constantly monitor and check in on our caregivers to ensure they are following our strict guidelines for providing in-home care. With us you will have Real Time Information: We provide information to you at your fingertips. Through our application, you can view the Care schedule for the week, see which Caregiver is visiting including their photo and review the list of Activities of Daily Living (ADL’s) that our Caregivers perform to name a few of the features.
Our care coordinator or owner will frequently make supervisory visits to control the caregiver performance. We call you on a regular basis to ensure you are receiving the care you require and deserve.
We understand how difficult it can be to welcome unfamiliar caregivers into your home at Assisting Hands. Every day many potential candidates apply for a caregiver job with us. They go through a multi-stage selection process before they are even invited to our special Assisting Hands Training. In the end, however, we will only be able to place 1 to 2% of the original applicants as caregivers with our clients. Our owner compares the search for good caregivers to panning for gold in a stream. It takes a lot of diligence and patience to find a nugget. You can feel confident knowing that we are fully licensed by the Texas Department of Health and Human Service. We are insured. All of our caregivers are employed by our agency; we never use contractors. We also conduct thorough background checks on all of our caregivers, as well as verifying their work history and references. Before hiring a caregiver, we make certain that they are professionals dedicated to providing senior care with the dignity and compassion that our clients deserve.
You won’t have to rearrange your schedule if you choose Assisting Hands. When your loved one requires home care, we are here to help. We will change your schedule according to your needs, which means you can schedule in-home care at any time of day or night. Even during holidays or the weekend. We will be there for your loved one whenever they require care. When you ask us to start the service, we can usually provide a caregiver within a few days or even often the next day.
