Taking small excursions and spending time in the fresh air can greatly benefit one’s health, especially for those with conditions like dementia or Alzheimer’s disease. At our caregiving service, we encourage our clients to go on outings with our caregivers during their sit-ins. If the client or their family desires, we can take them to various beautiful destinations in the surrounding area. We always ensure that the locations we choose have good wheelchair accessible walkways.

One such destination we recommend is Little Elm Park, which is situated at the shore of Lewisville Lake in Little Elm. This park boasts a diverse range of walking paths, some of which are paved while others are more natural. If the senior wishes and is able, we are happy to accompany them on a short walk on these paths. The park also features restrooms and a picturesque Lewisville Lake. Many park benches are available for resting, and visitors can often spot many birds, other animals.

We understand that many seniors enjoy such activities, and therefore, we are happy to incorporate them into our daily routines according to the client’s wishes. When creating a Care Plan, we always ask our clients if they are interested in such trips. For more information or to schedule an appointment, please call us at (214)-295 7970.
