Get out of the house for fresh air
We recommend our clients to make small excursions together with our caregivers during their sits. Exercise in the fresh air and observation of nature help the health and also with diseases such as dementia or Alzheimer’s disease. If the family or the client wish, we will be happy to take them on small trips in the surrounding area. We have a selection of beautiful destinations that the caregivers like to go with you. When choosing these destinations we make sure that there are always good wheelchair accessible walkways.
Oak Point Park in Plano, TX
As an example we present today the Oak Point Park with its 800 acres. It is located between the cities of Plano, Parker, Allen. https://www.plano.gov/1476/Oak-Point-Park-Nature-Preserve

This park offers a wide variety of walking paths; many are paved, some are more natural and if the senior wishes and is still able, we are happy to walk a short distance on these paths with the client. In the park there are sanitary facilities and a very beautiful lake that you can walk around in half to three quarters of an hour, depending on your walking speed. Many park benches invite you to rest. You can often see anglers and at one point in the lake there are many turtles that like to stick their necks out of the water. Besides many birds you can also observe other animals .
We will gladly build such diversions into the daily routine according to your wishes.
When we make our Care Plan with you, we will ask them if they want such trips. In our experience, many seniors love such activities. Call us at (214)-295 7970
