At Assisting Hands Home Care, serving Frisco, Plano, Little Elm, Prosper, North Carrollton, North Richardson, North Dallas, and nearby areas, every client becomes part of our extended family. Recently, we experienced a sad loss as one of our beloved veterans passed away. We had the honor of caring for him for a long time, and his journey reminds us why our work matters.

Care and Advocacy
For many veterans, understanding and using VA benefits can be overwhelming. With this client, we walked alongside him and his family, helping them navigate the VA system so he could receive the care he deserved. Advocacy is a key part of our mission—we don’t want families left alone to struggle with forms and approvals when their focus should be on their loved one’s comfort.
The Honor of Service
Each day with this veteran was filled with meaningful moments—from daily care to hearing his stories of service. To support someone who once dedicated his life to protecting ours is a privilege we take seriously. His passing leaves a void, but it also strengthens our resolve to continue serving veterans with dignity and respect.
Gratitude from the Family
After his passing, his family sent our office a box of cookies as a thank-you. This simple but heartfelt gesture symbolized the trust and gratitude they felt. It reminded us that the bonds we form with families go far beyond the care we provide.
Our Promise to Veterans
Caring for veterans means honoring their service and ensuring they receive the full benefits they’ve earned. At Assisting Hands, we are proud to be both caregivers and advocates.
To the families in Frisco, Plano, Little Elm, Prosper, North Carrollton, North Richardson, and North Dallas: we are here for you. Whether it’s navigating VA benefits or providing compassionate care, it is our honor to serve those who once served us.
