Marina Ramirez presents “Know the Ten Signs” at Palm Beach County’s Adult Protective Services Program on behalf of the Alzheimer’s Association.
Alzheimer’s is an overwhelming, incapacitating and incurable disease of the brain. Its symptoms progress gradually, although scientists now believe that the neurological injury starts years or even decades before the first challenges with memory or confusion show.
In our effort to help our community better understand and deal with this devastating disease, on a recent July afternoon Marina Ramirez, owner of Assisting Hands Palm Beach, gave the presentation “Know the Ten Signs” to Palm Beach County’s Adult Protective Services Program on behalf of the Alzheimer’s Association.
The goal of the presentation is to provide the community with early detection tools and resources.
Early detection matters! If you or someone you know is experiencing memory loss or behavioral changes, it’s time to learn the facts. Early detection of Alzheimer’s disease gives you a chance to begin drug therapy, enroll in clinical studies, and plan for the future.
