Watch Video | Marina Ramirez, the owner of Assisting Hands Palm Beach, interviews Casey Uritis on the benefits of LSVT BIG Therapy for Parkinson’s patients.
Research shows that all levels of Parkinson’s could benefit from LSVT BIG. The treatment improves walking, self-care and other tasks by helping people “recalibrate” how they perceive their movements with what others actually see. It also teaches them how and when to apply extra effort to produce bigger motions – more like the movements of everyone around them.
Casey is an occupational therapist who has experience in treating a variety of neurological conditions and diseases including but not limited to Stroke/CVA and Parkinson’s disease. Casey is a certified LSVT BIG clinician, a therapy approach developed to improve everyday function with those impacted by Parkinson’s disease.
