One of the things Mirta enjoys about being a caregiver is talking with her clients and their families to understand what is needed and expected. However, Mirta’s favorite part about being a caregiver is helping clients overcome a challenge or health issue they couldn’t have conquered on their own.

Mirta has found that for many of her clients who stay in their homes, convincing them to get out and about really improves their attitude and quality of life. Not only is Mirta adept at giving the client positive experiences, but she is also excellent at taking on any challenges a client might throw her way. When dealing with a stressful situation with a client, Mirta validates the client’s emotions without feeding into agitation or anger. To do this she takes a deep breath and allows the client to express his/her feelings, which requires great patience.

When asked if she had any advice for caregivers entering the field, she said, “they should maintain their patience in all circumstances.” Mirta is a talented caregiver who always gives her all to her clients. Assisting Hands® Palm Beach thanks, her for her dedication to a high caliber of care!
