Giving a Hand to the New Generations

June 1, 2018Blogs by Assisting Hands Home Care Palm Beach, Philanthropygraphpro

Our very own, Marina Ramírez, CEO of Assisting Hands Home Care© Palm Beach is an active member of the Rotary Club in West Palm Beach. During one of the Rotary meetings in late May, Junior Achievement’s, Bob Cawood presented their institution core values and goals to the West Palm Beach Rotary Club.

Junior Achievement of Palm Beach provides middle and high school students with “relevant, authentic, and experiential financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship programs” in order to promote financial capability and responsibility to future generations.

Junior Achievement works with volunteers who provide role models and partnerships to equip young people with the “tools to solve problems creatively, manage risk effectively, and welcome opportunity. Bob reminded us that it was in 1981 when WPB Rotary founded the Junior Achievement of the Palm Beaches & Treasure Coast, Inc.

It’s important to understand this local institution, now more than ever; expressed Marina after highlighting the group’s importance. The JA core values are needed to motivate students that might be at risk of becoming drop-outs. Many of these students said they drop out because they didn’t feel they were learning at school and these programs can be an alternative to engage them into different aspects of our economy. “I’m, personally, an advocate of Education, said Marina, and these institutions are crucial to develop different educational options through the market.

Junior Achievement’s CORE VALUES
  • Belief in the boundless potential of young people
  • Commitment to the principles of market-based economics and entrepreneurship
  • Passion for what we do and honesty, integrity, and excellence in how we do it
  • Respect for the talents, creativity, perspectives, and backgrounds of all individuals
  • Belief in the power of partnership and collaboration
  • Conviction in the educational and motivational impact of relevant, hands-on learning.

To become a volunteer of Junior Achievement of Palm Beach simply click this link and follow the instructions. There are many levels of engagement. You can also help by becoming an advocate of their values and sharing the information to your communities and neighborhoods.

At the end, this perspective is important in the development of young entrepreneurs and the creators of our future.
